>> thank you. meanwhile a new poll shows president obama's job approval rating is on the rise 47% of americans approve of the job he is doing 45% do not approve. that is according to t latest gallup tracking poll. a look at our top stories still no sign of mitchell smith, the 33-year-old is blind and has not been seen in 11 days now. smith got on an amtrak train at union station december 16th heading to birmingham alabama. some how he wound up on a train to new orleans instead. one witness says amtrak employees helped smith get off in shower bott lot to wait for another -- charlotte to wait for another train to birmingham but a charlotte police detective is now investigating another lead. >> he said in the confusion, mitchell finally said, i want to go back to washington and amtrak is supposed to have put him back on the train to come here. >> the family is hoping

surveillance footage from the train station might help explain what happened. the man accused of murdering two people and abducting a toddler sits behind bars this morning he was taken into custody in richmond late yesterday accused in thechristmas murders, clemens broke into the home, murdered the two and then stole an suv with a 2-year-old in the backseat. the toddler was not hurt and is now back with his family. police looking for three men suspected of holding up at least three prince georges county businesses they were caught on surveillance video robbing a burger king december 5th. one of the men acted as a lookout as the other two jumped over the counter and emptied a cash register, one of those men had a gun, police said the trio held up a wendy's restaurant last month and a family dollar store last week if you recognize any of them police want to hear from you. tragic end to the search for a missing girl in indiana. police found the body of a 9-

year-old girl they say, they have her kill inner custody, fox's casey speakle reports. >> reporter: 9-year-old alaina lemon the little missing girl from indiana has been found dead police have her suspected killer in custody interviews with the family friend who was watching her when she vanished, revealed some details. >> detectives and fbi did an excellent job talking to him and getting him to work with them and bring us to the conclusion we've come to. >> reporter: he is charged with murder lemon had been missing since december 23rd, her disappearence prompted officials to search this run down mobile home park. state records show 15 registered sex offenders lived there, though the suspect is not one of them. >> this is not the conclusion we hoped for we kept that hope we would find her alive but knowing in the back of our mind

this as well. not just for children tell me about how this helps parents with their children and also how it is interactive and gets kids involved. >> well, i did a lot of thinking why do kids fight about doing chores i used to fight about chores myself, and one time, i managed to pay all my bills on time and someone said to me oh, good job terry give yourself a gold star i thought give myself a gold star what a concept i wanted to share that with my granddaughters who lived up state new york i developed a post card i could write to them and tell them something i had done or they could write to me and give encouraging words that was the beginning. that is the post card it started out like a little piece of cardboard and then turned into the two way poster card but the essence of it is, children instinctively know this doesn't have to be terrible my little 2.5-year-old

great granddaughter when i was sweeping go, grandma i help i help she knew it would be fun, caring and encouraging so i just want families to get the idea this thing that chores, that is so horrible could be an opportunity to do something together, decide together what matters to you and then through the post cards share with grown ups who live elsewhere. >> it is a neat idea with this, to get them involved and see what i did. you also -- it is interesting not just the book but your background in general you have written a book before but, it is amazing how you became a speak and an author, years ago you started out, you were a nun how did you end up writing a children's book? >> well, there is a theme that goes through -- when i was a little girl i thought only famous people got to be actors and writers which is what i really wanted to be so i said

all right i will be a teacher and nun when i left the convent i started this whole long journey who am i why am i here every job i had whether in human services, peer education or sales and marketing, some part of me wanted to teach something i heard woody alan in an interview one time he was talking about a movie i wanted to show in an entertaining way. i said that is me i want to show what i have learned in an entertaining way i wrote some plays that were produced in festivals then i got the idea if i am going to share gold star magic the idea of being proud of yourself and sharing it with your family do it in an entertaining way there is a song that goes with it. jan a children's song writer did a brilliant song that goes with it. >> it is a great idea gain the
